A few months ago I blogged about my lack of faith in people from the town where I spent most of my teenage years. This morning I woke up to find that they had passed anti-discrimination ordinances that affect both employment and housing in the city. It's still sad that the city council chairman had to call church headquarters to consult with them about the bill, but at the same time, this is a level of progress I never would have thought possible.
One day at a time.

I didn't realize that we were from the same town! I was at that meeting in the front row. (If you see the ABC4 news report, I'm in the teal shirt on the front row)!
It's the Obama thing. Hope, I mean. Once started, hard to stop.
